Zibot Paths

Summary: We’re introducing our newest Zibot to the family called “Paths”. Zibot Paths allows Flows to execute different Zibots based on one or more conditions.

Now there’s no more need to duplicate your flows, this new conditional Zibot helps you build multiple outcomes into one Flow, so you can automate anything you imagine.

It’s super easy to configure too, with our intuitive UI you can select from a list of predefined data to create as many conditions as you require.

    Where is the feature setup?

Click on the “Connect” tab in the upper left corner of the screen, then click on the “+ Create flow” button. Instead of connecting to a cloud storage, select the “Ziflow” or "Intake form". If you want to trigger the Zibot based on events such as "New proof/version created", "New decision made", "New comment/reply" please choose "Zibot" option, but if you want to create a Path Zibot for the specific Intake form, then please select "Intake Form".

    How does it work?

The first step is selecting the event type (if you chosen "Ziflow type not "Intake Form"") that will trigger your Zibot:

Next, you will be presented with the event details page, which will vary depending on which event you select.

    1. Triggered by - select the type of request that will trigger the Zibot.
    2. Created in - select the Ziflow folder that will be monitored by this flow.
    3. Created by - select the user that will be responsible for this flow activation.

    1. Triggered by decision made - select what level decision needs to be made in order to activate the flow.
    2. Type of decision - choose the type of decision that needs to be made in order to activate the flow.
    3. Created in - select the Ziflow folder that is going to be monitored by this flow.

    1. Triggered by new comment / new reply - choose which option should activate the flow.
    2. Made by - choose if a Zibot should be activated by a specific reviewer or by anyone that adds a comment/reply.
    3. Created in - select the Ziflow folder that is going to be monitored by this flow.

    1. Created in - select the Ziflow folder that is going to be monitored by this flow.

    1. Comment is labelled as - select which label(s) should trigger a Zibot.
    2. Created in - select the Ziflow folder that is going to be monitored by this flow.

    Next, choose a Paths Zibot:

    Set up Paths Zibot details:

    1. Path name - you can choose the path name
    2. Rules - at this point you can configure rules on which the Zibot will trigger actions in next step. You can use built-in token for that purpose. Please also note that you can add many rules to one path if needed.

Once you finished adding conditions you can proceed to Webhook Zibot configuration which will send information to any third party tool you need:

    Set up Webhook Zibot details:

    1. Create - select the type of request.
    2. URL (required) - enter the application URL where you will be sending the data.
    3. Query String Parameters - add which parameters you want to send.
    4. Request body - please type request body in JSON data format. Here's an example how this may look if you want to post some information to Slack
    5. Headers - enter the header values for each request.

Once you hit the “Next” button, Ziflow will confirm if the flow looks good. If there are no problems, name the flow and turn it on.

Of course you can add as many paths to this Zibot as you need. On the info graphic on the left you can see structure tree which shows the current setup of the Zibot but from this place you can also add alternative paths or choose more actions to be done via Webhhoks.
