If your projects include the use of FTP as a means of file sharing or distribution with partners, clients, vendors, etc., ZIflow has made it easier to incorporate FTP into your workflow by automating the manual steps in the process. This lets you get back to more important work, leaving the tasks to Ziflow.
How it works
Once Ziflow is integrated with your cloud storage service (like Dropbox, G Drive, Box, Egnyte, OneDrive, etc.), all you have to do is simply drag the target file (or multiple files) into a specified folder. From there, Ziflow will execute a Flow, which includes your pre-defined FTP credentials, saving you the time of loading up your FTP client, selecting your files and entering in your credentials.
Ziflow has a pre-built “send to FTP” Zibot ready to be put to work. You simply identify the folder you want to associate with FTP uploads, as well as the credentials, and that’s it. Now, every time files are placed in that folder, the Zibot will get to work on your behalf. And yes, you can have multiple FTP Flows created for multiple FTP accounts and projects.
Getting More Done
As with all of our Zibots, this Zibot can be used on its own, or as part of a larger, multi-step workflows, including those used to kick off online proofing projects.
For example, you could set up a Flow which would look for a file that includes “Final” in its filename being added to a Ziflow-enabled folder. This could set off several Zibots, including email or Slack notifications, updating to-do’s or statuses in your project management application, like Basecamp, and finally, uploading the approved design to your print partner’s FTP server. Instead of manually updating teammates and status pages, you’re already on to your next project!
